Okay, given the economy we're in, it isn't what it used to be. But, one dollar in the hands of a million different people who are all committed to helping one another out with financial crises, or the funding of dreams, or major necessary and luxury purchases is still a powerful thing.
A few years ago I woke up with one of those middle-of-the-night ideas. So many people are hurting financially. But also, so many people would like to make purchases or pursue dreams that are just financially out of reach. But what if they belonged to a worldwide community of hundreds of thousands of people who would happily give up a Coke in order to send them a dollar to meet that need or make that dream come true? Through the power of a mutually sharing community, very little would be outside the reach of any of us.
I didn't do anything with that idea for a couple of years. But one night this week it came to me again. So today, October 17th, 2009 I have launched the Human Funds Network. I can't wait to see how we might grow as a community and begin experiencing together unexpected financial relief and an improved standard of living.
